Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026

Time: Due to the number of performers, we will separate into two recitals. 

• Recital 1 – 10:00am-11:00am
• Recital 2 – 11:30am-12:30pm

There will be a reception following each of the two recitals. 

Location: University of Arizona School of Music, Room 232

Instructions for performers:

• Prepare your recital piece 
  • Break the piece into smaller sections
  • Practice harder sections first
  • Rehearse transitions between sections
  • Once all the parts are smooth, practice playing the whole piece without stopping
• Prepare for the performance
  • Play for family members and friends to get used to having an audience
  • Record yourself and listen back
• Dress to impress
  • Recital attire can range from semi-formal to formal
  • Wear something special that you feel comfortable in
• Have fun!
  • This is a celebration of your accomplishment and a chance to share your music with others. 

Instructions for audience members:

• Clap loudly for the performers and give them your support! It takes a lot of courage to go up there.
